A. Generic Learning Outcomes

  1. Recognize and comply with safe working practices, follow environmental regulations, and maintain effective housekeeping to ensure safety and sustainability.
  2. Collaborate in teams, practice soft skills, and use technical English to communicate effectively and with clarity in professional environments.
  3. Identify and develop specialized areas of work, efficiently performing practical operations relevant to cosmetology services.
  4. Apply concepts of energy conservation, understand the impacts of global warming and pollution, and contribute to sustainability by utilizing resources optimally in daily tasks.
  5. Understand personal finance and entrepreneurship, manage related activities to promote personal and societal growth.

B. Specific Learning Outcomes

Semester I

  1. Develop professional appearance, behavior, and follow industry standards in communication and task execution.
  2. Prepare and maintain the work area, ensuring proper health and safety protocols are followed.
  3. Perform epilation and depilation services, while understanding hair structure and the hair growth cycle.
  4. Carry out manicure and pedicure services, explaining nail anatomy, identifying common nail diseases and disorders.
  5. Conduct facial treatments for common skin conditions, demonstrating knowledge of skin structure and types.
  6. Perform hair treatments for common scalp and hair issues, understanding the structure and functions of hair.
  7. Create basic haircuts utilizing industry-relevant cutting techniques.
  8. Demonstrate basic Yogasana and physical exercises aimed at building stamina and improving body posture.

Semester II

  1. Perform day, evening, party, and bridal makeup, demonstrating an understanding of light effects on makeup application.
  2. Demonstrate corrective makeup techniques, explaining different facial shapes and their impact on makeup styles.
  3. Create traditional hairstyles using artificial aids and accessories.
  4. Style hair using thermal gadgets and wet styling techniques, creating a variety of hair designs.
  5. Perform hair coloring, perming, straightening, rebonding, and smoothing treatments, explaining the science of hair bonds and chemical processes.
  6. Design and apply bindi, mehendi (henna), and tattoos, along with saree draping techniques in various traditional and contemporary styles.
  7. Demonstrate advanced Yogasana for spinal flexibility, stress management, and alleviation of common physical ailments.

Certification

Upon successful completion, trainees will receive an NCVT Certificate in Basic Cosmetology, providing them with:
